Cork, Ireland. When you, as a buyer or as a vendor, use www.bigbromarket.co.uk we will do business with you under the following terms.
The website www.bigbromarket.co.uk is a marketplace specialised in tools, DIY and home improvement supplies, construction materials and gardening supplies in the United Kingdom. The platform aims to facilitate contacts between a community of vendors and a community of buyers. It helps vendors to find new opportunities in the United Kingdom and buyers to find a wide range of products. Vendors can sell products to buyers, easily create vendor and product sheets with detailed informations, manage orders and stocks on the vendor account. Buyers can browse products displayed by categories on the website, easily compare the supplies they are interested in, buy products to vendors and communicate with them through the buyer account, easily manage their orders and follow the shipment. Please note that as a marketplace Deschard International Ltd never comes into possession of the products sold on the website.
Deschard International Ltd reserves the right to suspend temporarily or modify, without notice, access to all or part of the website, for any reason, without entitlement to any obligation or compensation.
www.bigbromarket.co.uk is a free access website. Users can browse products displayed on the website without a buyer or a vendor account. When a user wants to buy or sell products on the platform he will be asked to create a buyer or a vendor account.
- Terms of registration.
When a user, as a vendor or as a buyer, create an account he will be asked to accept the Terms of Business.
When a user creates a personal account he provides a valid email address and private password. He is responsible for keeping his personal data secret and communicate them exclusively to relevant third-parties when necessary.
It is possible for a single user to have two different types of accounts : a seller account and a buyer account.
3.1. Registration for buyers.
A buyer has the possibility to create an account before the checkout. It will accelerate the payment process and allow him to contact the vendor. Otherwise, the account will be created automatically at the checkout.
Once the buyer has provided all required information in order to create his account, he can start buying on the platform. He can register whenever he wants and close his account directly through his buyer account. He will be notified by email once his request is validated.
He can buy on www.bigbromarket.co.uk as an individual or as a legal entity. When buying as an individual he must be over the age of 18 and provide a valid delivery address and bank account. When buying as a legal entity he may be asked to provide the proofs of his business incorporation.
3.2. Registration for vendors.
A vendor can start selling as an individual or as a company as long as he has a company registration number. To start selling on the platform he only needs to provide his contact details (name, address), and a valid bank account. To start selling and get paid, the vendor will be asked to create a Stripe account.
Stripe is a payment processing platform that focuses on providing the technical, fraud prevention, and banking infrastructure required to operate online payment systems.
Once a vendor reaches an amount of 5000 € in sales he will be required to provide the proofs of his business incorporation such as a company registration number and a VAT number.
- Period of registration.
An account is valid for an infinite period of time. A user can decide to close his account at any time. Deschard International Ltd reserves the right to close an account at any time, without prior notice or compensation, in particular in case of fraud or attempted fraud, diffusion of false informations or disrespect of any of the Terms of Business.
- Communication and data protection.
When communicating on the platform, users undertake not to harass, insult, offend other users with defamatory, racist or sexist remarks. They undertake to comply with the law and not to intend any provocation of any kind.
Users agree not to take benefit from other users with any personal information and data. Trying to intrude other users personal account is strictly forbidden.
- Vendor account.
A vendor can start selling as an individual or as a company as long as he has a company registration number. To start selling on the platform he only needs to provide his contact details (name, address) and a valid bank account. Once he reaches an amount of 5000 € in sales he will be required to provide the proofs of his business incorporation such a company registration number and a VAT number.
By filling the vendor sheet a vendor provides the buyers with relevant informations about his vendor activities, contact details, products he sells and ratings.
- Catalogue and products.
Vendors can sell most of most types of tools, DIY and home improvement supplies, construction materials and gardening supplies and register them under the categories displayed on the website : Tools, Kitchen, Bathroom, Heating & Plumbing, Lighting & Electrical, Building Materials, Flooring & Tiling, Hardware, Painting & Decorating, Landscape & Garden. When downloading a product on the website he will be asked to chose a single category and pay attention to his product description.
A vendor can easily upload all his products through his personal vendor account. He can modify the product information and prices whenever you want. The pending time for the publication of one product on the platform is one working day.
By filling a product sheet, a vendor provides the buyers with relevant information such as product details, seller details, terms of delivery, prices, discounts and ratings. A vendor can easily describe the product he sells by filling the form displayed on the website. He can also make temporary discounts to appeal to new customers.
8. Place an order.
To place an order the buyer only has to click on the purchase button. The product therefore appears in the cart on the right top corner of the window. He will then be asked to provide every relevant information such as names, a valid delivery address and a valid bank account. He will be notified by email of the order validation within the period of two working days. If the order is declined by the vendor his bank account will not be charged. When his order is confirmed by the vendor, the payment will be processed through a secure online system. The order is validated when the payment is received in full.
- Cost and sales.
You will not be asked to pay any registration fees. You will be charged 4.5% per transaction+ 0.20£. The transaction charged includes shipping price.
Please, note that an additional banking fee/ transaction will be charged by the payment platform Stripe : 1.4% + 0.20£).
10. Changes and cancellations.
When a buyer places an order the vendor gets notified by email. He confirms or declines the order within a period of two working days. By clicking on the shipping button displayed on his vendor account, he notices the buyer about the shipping of the product. Once he confirms an order, a buyer has no right to impose a change or a cancellation. Vendors are free to deal with these situations according to what is more convenient for them.
- Return of a product.
According to the Consumer Law, a buyer has 14 days from the date he received a product to return it to the vendor for a full refund. If the product he receives does not fulfill his requirements, he can contact the vendor directly so that he provides him with every relevant information for the return. Once the vendor receives the product, he gives the buyer a full refund including the shipping cost. It is important to notice that the return cost will be charged at the buyer’s expense. Besides, the product must be in good condition and in its original package.
- Ratings and comments.
Buyers have the possibility to rate a product they bought according to a range of criteria displayed on the website. Ratings show numbers on a scale of 1-5 alongside 5 stars (5 being the maximum). Ratings help to quantify a product’s reliability and facilitate relevant purchases on the platform. It also helps performing vendors gain more visibility and be brought to the fore on the platform.
- Purchase and payment.
Deschard International Ltd cannot guarantee to the buyer that the product will match exactly the one displayed on the website and to the seller that the product will not be returned and the sale not cancelled by the buyer.

He will be notified by email of the order validation within the period of 2 working days. If the order is declined by the vendor his bank account will not be charged. When his order is confirmed by the vendor, the payment will be processed through a secure online system. The order is validated when the payment is received in full.
Once a vendor validates an order, the client bank account is charged. A vendor gets paid 15 days after shipment validation on his vendor account.
Please note that :
. the payment is processed by an online-secure system
. the payment can only be launched after a minimum of 50 € sales
. vendors must have provided a valid bank account
- Terms of delivery.
Vendors display their own conditions of delivery on the vendor sheet and the product sheet. These conditions must comply with laws regulating online and distance selling.
Buyers have access to the conditions of delivery displayed by the vendor on the vendor fact sheet and the product fact sheet. All these conditions comply with laws regulating online and distance selling.
The vendor informs the buyer about the shipping progression if he is asked to.
- Claims and issues.
When a buyer deals with an issue concerning a product he received (for instance, if the product does not match the product description displayed on the website or if he did not receive the product he ordered), he can contact directly the vendor through his buyer account to notify him about the situation. If the vendor fails to consider his reclamation or to give a satisfying answer in a period of one to two business days he can contact us at any time so that we can solve the problem directly.
These terms of business will be governed by Irish law. Any disputes will be dealt with by the Irish courts.
